Sometimes, it is very hard to define the word professional. It has a lot of connotations that even some executives or CEOs are having a hard time in building a consensus on what will be the definition of this word. In a simple definition, professionalism may mean being serious and professional with work, observing work ethics and being professional should start on the outside to the inside. Meaning, the outside appearance of working men and women should also speak that they are indeed professional. That is why professional work clothes are now the trend in private companies.

It is indeed hard to define professional work clothes but it is easy to identify one by one, the different styles and clothing that working people could wear for them to be professional on the outside. To start with, for women, they could start picking a blazer that is dark in color. Professional work clothes can sometimes be dark. Meaning if women will stick to their favorite neon colors like orange or pink, they would end up going a party.

The essence of professional work clothes is now gone. Once they have a blazer already, next thing is for them to look for a blouse that they will wear inside. The blouse should not be sleeveless. Sometimes, women would reason out that since they are wearing blazers, they could wear sleeveless blouse. But still, it is very unprofessional to wear sleeveless blouse in the office. If they will insist to wear that kind of blouse, they should never take away their blazer with them.

For men, since most people say they are dominating the world of private companies in the city, they would really want to look and wear professionally. But then some men are not fashionable like women. They could define what professional work clothes are but they cannot define it one by one. To start with men’s professional work clothes, they would rather have long-sleeve polo and a tie as their definition of professional work clothes. This is indeed true but many are already wearing this. Just like women, men should also look for a blazer that is dark in color. Even with the tie and polo, they should look for a dark color. Next, the slacks should also match the color of the tie and polo.
